To upgrade MC2+ Standard (Non-Display) software

1. Identify the hardware version of the MC2+ to be upgraded.
   Indicates that the unit is Annex A (ADSL over POTS)
   
   Indicates that the unit is Annex B (ADSL over ISDN)
   
   
2. Download the zip file MC2plusVx.x.x.zip.
3. Go to the downloaded file location and unzip the file, two files will be extracted:
   "nsp.annexA.firmware.upgrade.img"
   and
   "nsp.annexB.firmware.upgrade.img"
4. Connect the PC to the MC2+ using Ethernet, as described in the user guide.
5. Switch on MC2+ .
6. Launch Internet Explorer and type the address 192.168.1.1.
7. Click Tools tab.
8. Click Update MC2+ (left hand side of screen).
9. Click Browse ... and go to the location where the downloaded files are
10. Select the file
    "nsp.annexA.firmware.upgrade.img"
    or
    "nsp.annexB.firmware.upgrade.img"
    depending on the hardware type.
11. Click Open then click the Update MC2+ button in the centre of the page.
12. In the bottom of the screen Upgrade Status shows “Upgrade in process, Please wait”.
13. Ignore the message “Upgrading ..."on the PC.
    
    WARNING: The time below is the minimum required, failure to follow the next step may cause the software to corrupt and require the unit to be returned to Trend.
    
    
14. Wait for 3 minutes (do not touch the PC or MC2+). In this time the Ethernet LED will go out & will light again and on the PC the network connection will be lost & then come up again.
15. Switch MC2+ off then on again.
16. After 30 seconds wait for the Ethernet LED to light.
17. Press and hold the reset button on the MC2+ until the Ethernet LED switches off.
18. After 30 seconds wait for the Ethernet LED to light.
19. Any Config files previously loaded will now need to be reloaded onto the unit.

To upgrade MC2+ Display Option (with display) software

1. Download the file MC2+Plus_AnnexA_Vx_x_x_upgrade.img
2. Connect the PC to the MC2+ using Ethernet, as described in the user guide.
3. Switch on MC2+.
4. Launch Internet Explorer and type the address 192.168.1.1.
5. Click Tools tab.
6. Click Update MC2+ (left hand side of screen).
7. Click Browse ... and go to the location where the downloaded file is
8. Click Open then click the Update MC2+ button in the centre of the page.
9. In the bottom of the screen Upgrade Status shows “Upgrade in process, Please wait”.
