The Careplan covers the cost of unforeseen repair bills and annual calibration. It also provides a loan tester for the period that your tester is away being repaired. This "Priority Loan Service" will dispatch a loan unit within 1 working day of a fault being reported anywhere within the EEC and arrange for on-site collection of your tester, shipping paid.
Cover is available over 1, 2 or 3 years for all IDEAL LANTEK® and LanTEK® II models.
If required, the Careplan can also be extended to the associated fibre options such as FiberTEK® FDX.
A Careplan certificate verifies the product(s) and period of cover. It also provides contact information, if service support is required.
The Careplan is purchased with new LANTEK/LanTEK II cable certifiers from IDEAL INDUSTRIES or within 90 days of delivery of the certifiers. Customers will receive a Careplan certificate as proof of purchase within 14 days of product registration by IDEAL INDUSTRIES. Whenever your Careplan tester is in need of repair-service, call your nearest IDEAL INDUSTRIES sales office or an authorised distributor stating the Careplan number printed on the certificate. Arrangements will then be made for a carrier to collect the tester. If requested and providing the Careplan tester is being returned for repair, we will arrange for the delivery of a loan tester. The Careplan tester will be shipped directly to the IDEAL INDUSTRIES European Service Centre, where it will receive priority service. Careplan testers are on average turned around and prepared for shipment within three working days. Can Careplan cover be obtained on an existing cable tester? Yes, even if your LANTEK/LanTEK II cable certifier from IDEAL INDUSTRIES or fibre optic accessory is up to five years old you can still obtain Careplan cover. However, prior to cover commencing IDEAL INDUSTRIES will need to inspect the tester(s) to ascertain good working order. To make arrangements for cover on existing testers please contact your nearest IDEAL INDUSTRIES sales office or an authorised distributor who will make arrangements for this inspection to take place at our service centre. Should faults be found or calibration be required, an estimate for the cost will be faxed for approval. Once authorisation and payment for any repairs and the Careplan has been made, the tester(s) will receive priority service and the Careplan will commence thereafter. If no fault is found on the tester(s) no charge relating to the cost of inspection will be made. The tester(s) will be returned and the Careplan will commence once payment is received as described above.
