Victoria STM-16/OC-48 is a handheld tester for analysing SDH, SONET, PDH and T-Carrier networks and equipment. It has all the interfaces up to 2.5 Gbit/s:

The ITU-T (International Telecommunications Union) has specified that Network managers must test the resilience of their networks so that they comply with the ITU-T recommendations for the maximum time allowed for SDH or SONET networks to switch to backup circuits (APS disruption time). Victoria STM-16/OC-48 now includes tests to program K1 and K2 bytes to simulate or force different APS operations, messages and configurations. You can now test an SDH or SONET network's response to events that force it to switch to protection rings.
